Blairodiplomacy

The enemy leader is on suck-up tour of the South Pacific.

Speaking in New Zealand, he said it was important to develop machines which produced fewer emissions, while maintaining economic growth.
British Prime Minister Tony Blair has ended his 24-hour visit to New Zealand agreeing to closer ties between the two countries and calling for those angry about the invasion of Iraq to focus on other issues instead.

I don't know if New Zealand is an eco-state, but if it is, British leaders don't seem to be too concerned with eco-diplomacy.
Miss Clark and Mr Blair praised each other during the visit which was the first by a British Prime Minister since John Major in 1995. The most recent visit prior to that was by Harold McMillan in 1958.

  1. Islam Karimov is pro-American. Do you like him?

As for Blair, his suggestion that people against his policies (ie. the Iraq invasion) ought to focus on other things is downright insulting.

  2. I like Americans. It's just a minority of them who happen to be in power that disgust me.

  3. Just so there's no hiding behind linguistic ambiguity, to like Blair (or Karimov) because he is "pro-American" is to like him not because he likes Americans but because he agrees with U.S. government foreign policy. This is not the metric by which people I assess people.

  4. I know that, does our friend the anti-hippie?
