The kidnapping of israeli corporal Gilad Shalit is well known. What is not well known is the kidnapping the previous day in Gaza of a palestinian doctor and his brother by the israeli soldiers.

I had thought Israel had withdrawn from Gaza and Palestinians had elected their own government. So why is this incursion into a sovereign 'state' and the kidnapping of two of its citizens hardly reported, yet the response is reported as if it was an unprovoked attack?The father of the two detained said he awoke to see Israeli soldiers scaling the walls of his compound in southern Gaza.
He said they handcuffed and beat him and then searched his home, confiscating his computer and detaining his two sons.
